What Is The Difference Between Glossy And Matte Finishes On Photo Paper?

There are several main differences between the glossy and matte surfaces of photo paper:
Glossy surface: The surface of glossy photo paper is smooth, reflects light strongly, is colorful and shiny, feels slippery, easily leaves fingerprints when touched, and has reflections under strong light.
Applicable scenarios:
Glossy surface: Suitable for photos that require high contrast and bright colors, such as landscape photos, food photos, etc. Glossy photo paper reflects less light under strong light and can better present emotions and details.
Matte surface: Suitable for photos that require soft tones and a quiet atmosphere, such as black and white gray photos, cute pet photos, warm group photos, etc. Matt photo paper does not leave fingerprints, is more resistant to strong light, and is suitable for indoor display.
Preservation and durability:
Both glossy and matte photo paper need to have good preservation. They all need to have a certain degree of water resistance, light resistance, and folding resistance to ensure a certain degree of preservation and fastness indoors or outdoors. Their unique advantages, such as high unit strength, lightweight, small inertia, bright surface, and no rust. Specific application scenarios include but are not limited to:
‌Printing industry‌: In the process of embossing, coating, and winding, aluminum guide rollers can provide efficient support.
‌Packaging industry‌: In packaging machinery, aluminum guide rollers are used in the slitting and bag-making of various materials to ensure the accurate handling of packaging materials.
‌Plastic industry‌: On the plastic production line, aluminum guide rollers can help materials pass smoothly to avoid damage or scratches.
‌Electronic battery industry‌: In the production and assembly of batteries, aluminum guide rollers can provide stable support and guidance to ensure product quality.
In addition, aluminum guide rollers are also used in papermaking, textile, and other industries, showing their wide application value and importance. The surface treatment process of aluminum guide rollers is diverse and can be customized according to different usage requirements, such as anodizing, sandblasting, etc., to meet various high-demand usage occasions. The selection of aluminum alloy materials also ensures that the aluminum guide roller has good corrosion resistance and a long service life, further broadening its application range.
